3 Solubility It is sparingly soluble in ethanol.
4 Lead Not more than 1 mg/kg.
5 Nickel Not more than 1 mg/kg.
6 Other Polyols Not more than 1.0%.
7 Reducing Sugars (As Glucose) The sample solution produces less turbidity than the Control, which forms a red-brown precipitate (Not more than 0.3%).
8 Residue on Ignition Not more than 0.1%.
9 Water Not more than 0.5%.
10 Assay Not less than 98.5% and not more than 101.0% of xylitol, calculated on the anhydrous basis.

PACKAGING

MOLHOL® XYL is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers in a dry place.
