1 Description It occurs as a colorless liquid, having a rose-like odor and a sharp, burning taste.

3 Solubility It is very soluble in alcohol, in fixed oils, in glycerin and in propylene glycol; sparingly soluble in water; slightly soluble in mineral oil.

6 Refractive index Between 1.531 to 1.534.
7 Chlorinated compounds No transient green color or other color is imparted to the flame.
