1 Description It occurs as a unctuous, white flakes or granules, having a faint, characteristic odor and a bland, mild taste.
2 Identification

(A) The retention times of the major peaks of the sample solution, excluding the solvent and internal standard peaks, correspond to the cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol peaks of the system suitability solution.
3 Solubility It is soluble in alcohol and in ether; insoluble in water.
4 Residue on Ignition Not more than 0.1%.
5 Limit of Related fatty alcohols
(A) Sum of unidentified impurities
(B) Related unsaturated fatty alcohols
(C) Sum of related fatty alcohols and unidentified impurities
(A) Not more than 1%.

PACKAGING

MOLHOL® CETO is packed in HDPE drum or HDPE bag with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
